Popular skit maker and actor Mr Macaroni has alerted Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the security crises in the state.
Residents of the Ajah area of Lagos experienced a bleak Christmas as a female lawyer named Bolanle Raheem was shot dead by a policeman on Sunday.
Speaking on the situation which he says has become worse since his reign as governor, Macaroni asked Sanwo-Olu what he has done to control the police as the Chief Security Officer of the state.
According to the comedian, if it was a civilian found culpable in the recent murder, names and pictures would have been revealed by the police force.
"Dear Governor BabaJide Sanwo-Olu, The level of Insecurity, oppression, brutality and extrajudicial killings since you became Governor has worsened.
"You don’t control the police? Ok. But you are the Chief Security Officer of the state. What are you doing about it, sir?
"If it was a civilian that the Police accused of a crime, even before proven guilty, you will give us their names, even snap pictures or make videos after beating them up. Keep protecting yours.
"I pray that all our oppressors will answer for their crimes against humanity one day", Macaroni wrote on Twitter.
