 Insecurity in Nigeria threat to human existence —Ododo

The governor of Kogi State,  Usman Ododo has raised the alarm over  the level of insecurity in the country stating this has became a threat to human existence.

Ododo, said this while playing host to the leadership of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti EKSU Alumni Association Worldwide on Tuesday, in Kogi.

Ododo, who said there’s need for urgent solutions, called for combined efforts at curbing rampant kidnappings, abductions and other criminal issues on the nation’s highways.

He said that “We cannot continue to fold our arms and allow the situation to degenerate to a level of disrepair and continuous threat”.

“The ugly trend has to be stopped as we must strategies and work with relevant security agencies and stakeholders in order to make the roads and commuters safe.

 “the need for neighboring states on the road networks like Ekiti, Ondo, Edo, Nasarawa, Enugu, Anambra, Benue, Niger, FCT and Kwara to form a common front at confronting the menace headlong.

Responding, EKSU Alumni Association Global President, Engr Dipo Bamisaye, said the visit was imperative in view of the relationship between the Kogi State Governor, the Alumni body and the Ekiti State University community which culminate to award given the governor early this  year by the Institution.
