Insecurity: Kaduna Governor Holds Security Meetings With Ser

The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has held meetings with Service Chiefs to discuss ways in strengthening the security situation in the region and neighbouring states.

During the separate meetings, Governor Sani met with the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar. 

The Governor emphasized the importance of building upon the current successes achieved in the fight against insecurity while fostering collaborative partnerships with the security agencies.

Governor Sani also used the opportunity to congratulate them on behalf of the government and the people of Kaduna on their appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as well deserved. 

This was contained in a statement personally signed by the governor. 

During the separate meetings, the Service Chiefs expressed their commitment to working closely with the state government and its people to address the security challenges.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the service chiefs assured the Governor of their determination to restore peace and security to the troubled communities within the state.

"In line with our administration's commitment to forging partnerships with security agencies in order to tackle current and emerging security threats, I held separate meetings today (Tuesday) with the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, and Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar. 

"We had robust discussions on the security challenges confronting Kaduna State, and other neighbouring states.

"Although successes have been recorded in the fight against insecurity in Kaduna State, I reminded the service chiefs of the need to consolidate on the successes. 

"The service chiefs assured me of their commitment to working with the Government and people of Kaduna State to degrade bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements and restore peace and security to our troubled communities. 

"I also used the opportunity to convey the warm congratulations and best wishes of the government and good people of Kaduna State to the service chiefs on their well-deserved appointments," the governor said.
