In a bid to stem insecurity in Oyo State, the state governor, Seyi Makinde, has made provision for extra operational vehicles for the smooth operations of the Amotekun corps.

The provision of the one hundred operational vehicles by the Oyo State Government to the local governments was with the support of the Oyo Amotekun Board.

Speaking at the presentation of the operational vehicles, Brigadier General Ajibola Kunle Togun (rtd,) stated that the proactiveness of the state governor in combating crime in the state has reduced criminality in the state.

While lauding the state governor for his support in ensuring the actualisation of the project, Brigadier General Togun added that there was need for improved relationship between the Amotekun corps and the Police as there is room for improvement.

The Oyo State Commandant Amotekun corps Colonel Olayinka Bisiriyu Olayanju, urged residents to follow the steps of Governor Seyi Makinde as it is the only way security of lives and property can be improved upon.
