Insecurity: Niger Governor Urges Security Operatives To Be S

The governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello has called on the police and other security operatives in the state to remain strong over renewed attacks by terrorists.

Bello lamented over the killings of civilians and security operatives following renewed attacks on Communities by the terrorists.

The governor further condoled with the families of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Nasko Division, CSP Umar Dakin-Gari; two other policemen and four members of the state vigilantes’ corps who were killed by terrorists on Tuesday.

This was made available in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mary Noel-Berje.

The governor further reiterated his commitment to ending insurgency in the state.

He also sympathised with the people of Munya Local Government Area following the attack on their communities that led to the kidnapping, injuring and killing of many.

He described the attack as disturbing, painful and unfortunate while noting that all hands are on deck to curtail the situation.
