A Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma, Graig Nwadike, has told Imo residents to be careful while walking or driving across the popular Ware House Roundabout junction route Orlu in Owerri, the Imo State capital, revealing that kidnappers and pocket pickers have converted the busy junction to their den.

Nwadike disclosed this while cautioning Owerri residents to be mindful of these miscreants even in the daytime.

According to him, the hoodlums hang around the Warehouse having some glass wiping sticks in their hands claiming to be rendering service to ease the traffic gridlock.

"They are hanging around with wares and some glass wiping sticks in their hands at the popular Ware House roundabout/Junction in Owerri, pretending to be genuine hustlers.

"But evidence now available shows that most of them are now the criminals we are searching for and must dread.

"Brazenly, and in broad daylight, as the traffic builds, some young men of middle age approach your side and order you to wind down your glasses. This is after an attempt must have been made by another to open your door from the back.

"If your doors are unlocked, he Jumps in and others will follow with swiftness, showing you their guns and ordering you away.

"If they are in good spirits to simply rob you as robbers, they first go for your handsets and other valuables available on sight, and simply other you to stop as they jump down and head straight under the bridge.

"Please ensure your car doors are on the locks when at the warehouse roundabouts and other suspicious areas in the city of Owerri and other areas in Imo.

"The Nigeria Police Force and other Law Enforcement Agents should also ensure that criminal elements loitering around the Warehouse and other Strategic Areas in the City are identified, and apprehended thereafter," he said.
