Meta-owned photo and video-sharing platform Instagram is currently rolling out its in-app post scheduler, enabling a restricted group of users to organise their posts in advance without using Meta's Creator Studio or other external tools.
Businesses and creators now have the ability to plan Reels, images, and carousels within the app itself on Instagram for up to 75 days.
Prior to this wider release, Instagram tested the functionality over the previous few weeks by granting access to a select portion of its global population (but still limited).
Eligible users must visit "Advanced Settings" after creating their post but before sharing it with their followers in order to access the feature.
From there, users may turn on "Schedule this post" and choose the time and day they want it to go live.
They must then go back to the post they were writing and select "Schedule."
Posts that have been scheduled can be seen in the "Scheduled Content" area, which is accessible through the hamburger menu.
Although the procedure might be made easier, the functionality makes it unnecessary to use the separate Creator Studio website or app, making the process more convenient.
Instagram hasn't made any mention of full deployment, so it's unclear when the function will be accessible to regular users.
However, Instagram has introduced Achievements in the same post as the release of its in-app planner.
By performing particular tasks, such as working with another creator or creating interactive Reels with polls and quizzes, creators can unlock them.
