Integrate yourself, learn a skill — NYSC DG to corps membe

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Osun State have been charged to integrate themselves into their place of primary assignment and ensure they learn a skill.

The charge was given by the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha'u Dogara Ahmed while addressing corps members at the permanent orientation camp, Ede, Osun State.

General Ahmed also warned the corps members to avoid exposing camp activities on social media.

"Abide by the essence of the NYSC scheme which is integration and skill acquisition. Social media should be for personal use and desist from posting orientation camp activities on your social media handles."

General Ahmed also urged the corps members to see themselves as their brother's keeper.

"See yourself as your brother's keeper. Remain humble, resilience and prepare to subject yourself to all guidelines. Good leaders must be good followers."

While warning against the NYSC members to avoid the use of hard drugs, the NYSC boss added that living within the ambits of the law always pays.

"Beware of exposure to drug abuse. It won't take you far. Try to live with the ambits of the law and take the issue of your security very important. Play your part in ensuring that you're safe."
