Internet Fraud: EFCC Nabs Two 'Yahoo' School Owners, Others

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that its operatives from the Benin Zonal Command arrested two owners of yahoo schools and seven other suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.

The arrest was disclosed in a statement made available to pressmen on Thursday and the anti-graft agency disclosed that the suspects run Internet Fraud Coaching Centre (a.k.a HK) in Benin City.

The yahoo school owners were identified as Osagie Ogiemwonyi and Onukwugho Favour and their "students" were rounded up at their centres after actionable intelligence was worked upon by the EFCC.

The seven other suspects are Destiny Ohikwugbe, Chata Okoro, Ighodaro Omede, Ehigie Idemudia, Lawrence Daniel, Raymond Ogiemwonyi Oghosa and Henry Philip.

Some of the items recovered during the arrest are a Mercedes Benz GLK, Lexus 350, phones and laptops.
