Inuwa Yahaya Visits College Of Legal Studies Nafada, Restate

The governor of Gombe state, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has reiterated his commitment to better education when he visited the College Of Education and Legal Studies Nafada.

The governor vowed to complete construction of an abandoned female hostel and other projects in the school.

The female hostel which was initially under construction was abandoned in 2018.

Yahaya said despite lack of funds, his administration remains committed to revitalizing the education sector in the state.

According to a statement on Wednesday by the Director-General Press Affairs to the governor, Ismaila Uba Misilli, the governor who visited to assess infrastructural challenges in the school said his administration is planning on getting a permanent site for the school.

According to the governor: "The facility inspection visit we embarked upon will help us as a government to be able to assess what is on ground and the rot in our Schools with a view to taking measures against compromising standard while developing a permanent site".

"The Education environment or any other Government establishment needs a permanent site to be able to erect structures that can stand the taste of time unlike the substandard structure now in place," Yahaya added.

Meanwhile the Commissioner for Higher Education, Mr. Meshack Audu Lauco said the governors visit will pave way for more infrastructural development.
