AllNews reports that Gambari was appointed on Wednesday at the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Gambari who is a Nigerian scholar, diplomat, and from Kwara State replaced the late Abba Kyari who died on Tuesday, April 17, 2020, from coronavirus (COVID-19) complications.
Reacting, self-exiled Kanu who is vehemently pursuing a Biafran Republic, while attaching a copy of Sun Nigeria newspaper of July 2008 claims Gambari is one of those behind the death of environmental activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa.
He alleged this on his known Twitter handle.
I hope our human rights conscious British High Commissioner to Nigeria @UKinNigeria can now withdraw her congratulatory message to Ibrahim Gambari. @10DowningStreet should not be seen to be endorsing those behind the death of #KenSaroWiwa pic.twitter.com/cxOZ0cd3IS

Saro-Wiwa led a nonviolent campaign against environmental degradation of the land and waters of Ogoniland by the operations of the multinational petroleum industry, especially the Royal Dutch Shell company.
He was also an outspoken critic of the Nigerian government, which he viewed as reluctant to enforce environmental regulations on the foreign petroleum companies operating in the area.

At the peak of his non-violent campaign, he was tried by a special military tribunal for allegedly masterminding the gruesome murder of Ogoni chiefs at a pro-government meeting, and hanged in 1995 by the military dictatorship of General Sani Abacha.
His execution provoked international outrage and resulted in Nigeria's suspension from the Commonwealth of Nations for over three years.
