Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a significant phone conversation where Raisi expressed his support for international collaboration towards an immediate ceasefire, ending the blockade, and providing humanitarian assistance to the suffering people of Gaza.

This conversation highlights their concerns about the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the need for urgent action to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.

During the phone conversation, President Raisi reiterated his endorsement of any collaborative global effort aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Raisi said he “supports any joint global effort for an immediate ceasefire, lifting the blockade and providing relief to the oppressed people of Gaza”.

He added that; “Atrocities in Gaza made people around the globe angry and if the massacre continues, it will have transregional consequences”, according to IRNA.

He stressed the importance of lifting the blockade that has had severe repercussions on the people of Gaza, emphasizing the need for relief measures to address their suffering.

Raisi's stance reflects the growing international concern over the situation in Gaza and the desire for swift action to mitigate the crisis.

Raisi also said that; “Palestinian resistance groups have a legitimate right to confront the occupation and accused the US of being complicit in the crimes committed in Gaza due to its financial, military and intelligence support to Israel.”
