Israeli protesters mount flags over Judicial reforms
Israeli embassies worldwide were instructed to join a strike on Monday against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's judicial reform plan.
A workers' union letter seen by Reuters said.
The letter, citing a nationwide strike in Israel declared by the Histadrut labor federation, said Foreign Ministry activities in the country and abroad would be limited to emergency services.
Amid the responses to the reform plans, flights from Israeli's Ben-Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv also came to a halt on Monday.
This came after an umbrella organization of trade unions Histadrut called for a general strike amid massive protests against judicial reforms.
The reform has sparked an intensifying protest movement that has spread to nearly all parts of the country.
The growing resistance came after tens of thousands of people burst into the streets around the country in anger at Netanyahu’s decision.
The anger on Monday were massive, as universities countrywide also shut their doors in protest.
