Israel pledges partnership with Nigeria on sustainable agric

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, has revealed the readiness of the country to boost its partnership with Nigeria toward ensuring sustainable agriculture in the African country.

Freeman, who doubles as the Permanent Representative of Israel to ECOWAS, made this disclosure in an interview with newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja, on the sidelines of an executive roundtable organized by Gov. Bassey Otu of Cross River and the diplomatic community.

The roundtable was organized in order to make the business investment climate in the state more visible.

“Israel has got a strong partnership with Nigeria and we are looking to strengthen our partnership with the states of the federation as well.

“At our level, we want to partner with the Government of Cross River, particularly in the area of the blue economy that is there,” Freeman said.

According to him, although no agreement has been signed, the cost implication of the investment between Israel and Cross River will be massive.

Allnews.ng had earlier reported the launch of dozens of fighter drones to Isreal by Iran, an unsuccessful attack. Moreso, there has been a crisis between the country and the Gaza Strip of Palestine.
