Syria’s state television reported on Tuesday that Israeli missiles struck some targets in Syria, causing material damage but no casualties.
The Daily Sabah added that the Israeli warplanes fired several missiles while flying over Syria’s Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
It claims that Syrian air defenses shot down most of the missiles.
The country's state news agency SANA also added that Syria’s air defense systems intercepted and downed some of the missiles and only material losses were suffered.
Israel has staged hundreds of strikes on targets in Syria over the years but rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations.
