The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in the wake of the interim ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

It asserts that a ceasefire is the sole path to adhere to the court's decision and halt the ongoing violence plaguing the region.

In a strongly worded statement, the ministry condemns what it describes as the "genocidal war" against the Palestinian people.

It also expressed concern over Israel's determination to escalate the destruction of the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, it criticizes the lack of commitment from high-ranking Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to abide by the ICJ ruling, citing their pledges to prolong the conflict.
