Iyanya | Oxlade
Nigerian singer and songwriter Iyanya has taken to social media to criticise Oxlade for what he perceives as fake love displayed in Oxlade’s tribute post for the late singer Mohbad.
The controversy began when Oxlade shared a screenshot of a 2018 message from Mohbad, where the late singer praised Oxlade’s singing abilities.
However, it appeared that Oxlade had ignored the message and had even restricted Mohbad on social media.
This action did not sit well with some fans, who accused Oxlade of showing fake love.
In response to the backlash, Oxlade removed the original post and shared another screenshot of a chat between him and the late singer.
However, Iyanya did not hold back his criticism and expressed his thoughts on the matter through his social media account.
Iyanya suggested that when someone is fake, they often post screenshots of how they have restricted or blocked a good person on social media.
He reminded Oxlade of their past conversation where he had warned that one day, the ‘fake’ in him would be exposed for all to see.
“When you are fake, you will post a screenshot of how you “Restricted” a good guy on sm. Told you one day the “fake” in you will be televised,” Iyanya tweeted.
