The Ize-Iyamu Campaign organization has debunked news making round the media that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the just concluded governorship election in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu begged the state Governor and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Godwin Obaseki to return to APC.
Debunking the news in a statement signed by the organisation’s Director of Communication and Media, John Mayaki on Thursday, Ize-Iyamu revealed that he has not addressed the press after losing the governorship election to Obaseki.

In the statement titled ‘I have not addressed the press after election – Ize-Iyamu’, Mayaki said that the video referenced in the report making round was released three months ago.
"The Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organisation has called on the traditional media to perform due diligence in reporting events arising from Edo State, as unprofessionalism would render them as tools for PDP,” the statement read in part.
It will be recalled that report making round different media platforms indicated that Ize-Iyamu appealed to Obaseki to return to APC.
