The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed the cut-off marks for universities and polytechnics in Nigeria.
The board made the decision after a back and forth session involving the Ministry of Education, the National Universities Commission, and the National Board for Technical Education among others.
Punch reports that JAMB approved 140 for universities and 120 for polytechnics in Nigeria.
While a change has been made to the cut-off marks for universities and polytechnics by JAMB, it is uncertain whether the marks will be retained by individual institutions.
AllNews Nigeria reports that out of over 1.8 million candidates who registered for the 2022 UTME, only 378,639 scored over 200.
Adebayo Eyimofe, an Ekiti indigene was earlier pronounced by the board as the highest score in the 2022 examination.
