As the 2022 Policy meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) progresses, the board has announced that A'level results by the National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB) will no more be recognised by tertiary institutions for admission seekers.
Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar revealed this while speaking at the ongoing meeting on Thursday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
According to the Registrar, the decision was approved by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.
Oloyede, however, noted that those who have obtained the results before now would still be able to make use of them.
“The Honorable Minister of education has approved that the NABTEB A’level GCE will no longer be recognized as a qualification for DE from 2022. However, all those who have already obtained it prior to this date will be able to use it,” he said.
NABTEB is a Nigerian examination board that conducts examinations for technical and business inventions in Nigeria.
