James Bond Star Daniel Craig Reveals Why He Won't Leave Inhe

James Bond actor Daniel Craig has stated that he will not leave any inheritance for his children.

The 53-year-old star who plays the famous British spy revealed to UK's Candid Magazine that his decision is because he finds the practice "distasteful".

"I don’t want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful. My philosophy is get rid of it or give it away before you go", he said.

"Isn’t there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you’ve failed?", he added. The actor gave an example of industrialist Andrew Carnegie who gave away billions of dollars before his passing in 1919.

According to Craig, Carnegie's action "shows how rich he was because I’ll bet he kept some of it too.”

Daniel Craig reportedly has a net worth of $160 million and has a 29-year-old daughter with ex-wife Fiona Loudon. He is presently married to actress Rachel Weisz and they have a daughter (born in 2018).

He started portraying the character of James Bond in 2006's Casino Royale and has reprised the role in Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (to be released in 2021).
