January Transfer: All Latest Top Transfers, Teams, Amount And Players

January Transfer: All Latest Top Transfers, Teams, Amount An

Transfer Deadline

As January comes to an end, the winter transfer window closes as well but some top transfers pulled through with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Donny Van de Beek, Adama Traore, Dele Alli, Islam Slimani, Neco Williams, and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

Dejan Kulusevski To Tottenham Hotspur (LOAN -- option to buy)

Tottenham has opted for the Swedish winger Kulusevski after losing out on Luis Diaz to Liverpool.

Dejan Kulusevski

Kulusevski was thought to be untouchable at Juventus alongside Federico Chiesa but it seems the signing of Dusan Vlahovic will sap playing time from some players and a loan deal is the best thing for them. The move to Tottenham is more than just giving him playing time as he has a €35 million option to buy in his deal.

Should he give Tottenham Hotspur what they are lacking, his services could be made permanent.

Kulusevski is just 21, an EPL move may just be the needed experience to take him to world-class status. He would be playing under Antonio Conte who has experience coaching both in England and Italy.

He joined Tottenham on an 18-month loan move which puts him in North London for the next 1 and half years.

Weghorst To Burnley (€14M)

The Dutch forward joined bottom-placed Burley on transfer deadline day -- a move that is just a change of boat but the same condition given that Wolfsburg are just 2 points from safety in the Bundesliga.

Although two-point is better than the relegation zone, it beckons the question, will Weghorst be the solution to Burnley's goal problem and could take them out of the relegation zone or he knows they will relegate and would rather sink with them than remain at Wolfsburg.

Wout Weghorst

All that aside, Weghorst is a great addition to Burnley who had only managed to score just 16 goals in the league, 1 goal better than Wolfsburg.

The Netherland international has scored 6 goals in the present campaign for the German side -- the same number of goals Maxwel Cornet has scored for Burnley.

Burnley are well aware that they might be bottom-placed but their situation is not far from salvageable as they are just 4 points from safety and a streak of wins could lift them back into contention for a stay in Premier League.

Adama Traore To Barcelona (LOAN -- with an option to buy)

We could say, he is the best signing in the 2022 winter transfer window given his prowess on the ball and the financial situation of Barcelona.

After the loss of Messi, Barcelona were just not out of form with strings of losses but also the inability to bring top players to the Camp Nou -- the likes of Luuk De Jong became a transfer option for the Blaugrana.

Adama Traore To Barcelona

So bringing back Traore to Barcelona is a good transfer. Although some critics will say he has been in top form for the 2021-22 season, a return to his boyhood could be the ginger he needs to recreate his electric form.

His loan deal has an optional buy of €30 million by the summer which gives Barcelona a win-win situation should he not be able to recreate his form.

A top-class purchase for Barcelona with an option to retain his services or send him back to England

Julian Alvarez To Manchester City (€18.5M)

This is a very good deal also for the Manchester Club taking Argentine forward Alvarez from River Plate. He is obviously a carbon copy of Aguero at least if not in proficiency and scoring form at least in nationality.

But jokes aside, he can finish -- scoring 36 goals and 25 assists in 96 River Plate appearances.

Julian Alvarez

As a sign of goodwill, Alvarez will remain with the Argentine team till the summer before joining Pep Guardiola's side.

He is capable of operating in a number of attacking roles and is one of the best young attacking players in South America.

Donny Van de Beek To Everton (LOAN)

Donny Van de BeekDonny van de Beek has escaped the shackles of Manchester United to join Everton on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Netherlands international midfielder Van de Beek, who emerged as one of Europe’s pre-eminent young footballers during Ajax’s high-achieving 2018/19 season, insists he can improve a dynamic game working under new Everton manager Frank Lampard, an important figure in persuading Van de Beek to rebuff rival offers in favour of the Toffees.

Van de Beek insists he is ready to go straight into Lampard’s team, if selected, for next Tuesday’s Premier League visit to Newcastle United – he is Cup-tied for Saturday's meeting with Brentford – and the 24-year-old is eager to show Evertonians the extent of his talent.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Barcelona (Free Transfer)

Aubameyang was thrown out Arsenal on the transfer deadline day after the English club allowed their former captain to seal a free transfer while still having a one-year plus on his contract.

The Gabonese striker traveled to Catalonia on Monday hoping to seal a loan move but when finances broke down between the two clubs -- Arsenal showed how much they wanted Aubameyang gone as they terminated his contract and allowed him to leave as a free agent.

Aubameyang

It was a successful transfer window for Barcelona who would be regarded as the highest winner for the winter transfer signing top-class players for almost next to no money.

Dele Alli Joins Everton (£40M)

Dele Alli has sealed a deadline day move to Everton that will eventually be worth £10 million ($13m), with the Tottenham midfielder joining new Toffees boss Frank Lampard at Goodison Park.

Dele AlliHe signed a two-and-a-half-year contract until the end of June 2024.

It presents the English playmaker a new beginning under fellow countryman Lampard as they open a new chapter at Everton.

Islam Slimani To Sporting Lisbon (Free Transfer)

Algerian striker Slimani also pulled a deadline day transfer from Olympique Lyonnais to Sporting Lisbon after he signed a one-year deal with the Portuguese club.

Islam SlimaniSlimani 33, would not get better than this as his age factor would prevent clubs from giving him a long-term deal.

Ndombele Returns To Olympique Lyonnais (LOAN)

Ndombele was Tottenham's record signing under Mauricio Pochettino with a transfer fee worth 60 million Euros (£50 million).

Tanguy NdombeleHe returns to France on a six-month loan with an option to buy and surely the Londoners would be looking at that range of fee.

Neco Williams Joins Fulham (LOAN)

Liverpool right-back Neco Williams has left on loan for the rest of the season, with the Wales international hoping to boost his World Cup hopes at Fulham.

Neco WilliamsWilliams had been the subject of interest from Bournemouth heading into deadline day, but the south-coast club eventually agreed to a deal for Nat Phillips instead.

Williams can also operate on the left flank, which could see him compete with and provide cover for Antonee Robinson and Joe Bryan.
