Fati, 18, is Barcelona's leading scorer for the 2020-21 La Liga season with 4 goals in their opening 4-6 matches and his injury would be felt as he continues to break records for the Catalonia club and his country.
This could signal the re-introduction of Ousmane Dembele back into the squad but that would be done at ease to given the former Dortmund man injury history since his signing to the Camp Nou.
The Barcelona winger has scored 2 goals already this season - 1 in UCL and 1 in La Liga - against Juventus and Real Betis respectively.
He has been tipped to join Manchester United during the winter transfer in January but with the recent development, he might be given yet another shot with Ronald Koeman.
Others that could benefit from the young star's injury are Trincao and Martin Braithwaite as there would be an opportunity to use them as substitutes more for Griezmann or Dembele.
