Jigawa State Police Command has confirmed an attack on the Turabu community of Kirikasamma local government.
Reports say the attack was carried out at about 11:45 pm on Sunday evening when the gunmen shot sporadically, killing one person in the process.
A 46-year-old suspected kidnapper in Kirikasamma local government has been arrested in connection to the attack.
This attack is coming at the heels of a similar attack that took place over the weekend at Karfi town at Takai local government in Kano.
Gunmen on motorcycles were reported to have stormed the town in the wee hours of Saturday, kidnapping the village head, and killing six persons during their getaway.
Two others are currently at the hospital receiving treatment.
Kano Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said a press briefing later on Monday on the security situation of the town.
