Jigawa government extends workers' verification by three day

The Jigawa State Government has extended its workers' verification exercise by three days to enable unverified workers to appear before the verification committee.

The State Government on Tuesday said the verification will continue from Wednesday, May 22, 2024, to Friday, May 24, 2024.

Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, the Public Relations Officer, Office of the State Head of Civil Service disclosed this in a statement today, adding that any worker who failed to appear before the committee within the period has himself to blame.

The statement partly reads: "The Complaints Committee on Workers Verification has granted an additional three days for all workers who failed to participate in the exercise across MDAs, LGCs and LEAs to appear before the Committee on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th May 2024 for the verification exercise.

"It should be noted that any staff who refused to appear before the Committee on the above-mentioned three additional days should blame himself and is the architect of his inconveniences for not being compliant with official directives.

"Affected staff are by this, expected to come along with their original documents of employment/career progression, Introductory letter from their organization, attendance register and must have a cogent reason why they have not been captured before."
