Jigawa Governor Applauds, Joins Masari For Infrastructural D

The Governor of Jigawa State, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has joined his Katsina State counterpart, Aminu Bello Masari to commission the 182 housing units in the state's metropolis.

Speaking during the commissioning of the project, Badaru applauded Governor Masari for his infrastructural development projects in Katsina.

The newly constructed housing unit located at the 'Yan Daka quarters of the state's metropolis is expected to reduce the burden of accommodation expenses for both the state and federal civil servants.

Governor Badaru who was excited over the development, noted that Masari has been dedicated to improving the lives of his people.

"I am pleased to witness the completion of these housing units, which will undoubtedly alleviate the accommodation challenges faced by our civil servants. 

"Governor Masari has shown great dedication to improving the lives of the people of Katsina State," Governor Badaru said. 

This was contained in a statement by Auwal D. Sankara, Jigawa State's Commissioner for Special Duties. 

Also speaking, Governor Masari noted that the project was an important part of the efforts of his administration to provide affordable housing to residents across the state. 

He appreciated the Jigawa State Governor for honouring the invitation alongside his entourage to the commissioning ceremony of the project. 

"We are grateful for the support and encouragement we have received from Governor Badaru Abubakar and his team. 

"This project is a testament to our commitment to providing affordable accommodation for the people of Katsina State," he said.

In his address, the General Manager of the Katsina State Housing Authority, Auwalu Abubakar Masari, explained that the housing units were constructed at a cost of over N2.8 billion. 

He highlighted that the project encompassed essential amenities such as road infrastructure, water supply, drainage systems and furnishings, ensuring a comfortable living environment for the residents.

The Jigawa State Governor was accompanied to the event by top government officials in the state including the Deputy Governor-elect, Engr Aminu Usman, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Idris Garba Jahun, Commissioners of Local Government and Finance, the state's All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Aminu Sani Gumel amongst others.
