Jigawa: Governor Badaru Donates N2 Million To Family Of Slain Soldier

The Governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has donated the sum of N2 million to the family of Danjuma Danladi, a soldier who was killed in Guri local government area of the state.

Danladi was killed by suspected herdsmen during an attack on the community. 

The money was presented to the family of the deceased by the Permanent Secretary, Council Affairs/Special Services, Alhaji Abba Muhammad Kiyawa.

Kiyawa who represented the governor said the money was not given as a rebate for losing their loved one “but only to support them and show concern for the Jigawa State Government"

The governor's support was received by Commander Operation Salama, Captain Magaji and the sons of the Slain Soldier, Shedrach Danladi.

Kiyawa conveyed Government's condolence and urged the family to make good use of the money.

“The Government and people of Jigawa State share the grief of the Nigerian military, particularly the family of the bereaved soldier who died at a time the country needs him most."

“We pray for the repose of the soul of this gallant soldier and we salute and appreciate his supreme sacrifices," he said.

Responding on behalf of the family of the deceased, the deceased brother, Danjuma Saleh commended Governor Badaru for the gesture and assured him that the money will be equally shared among the family of the deceased.
