Joe Biden Tests Positive For COVID-19

United States President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19.

The White House on Thursday declared that the president is experiencing very mild symptoms and will continue to carry out his duties.

The president’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre disclosed that the president who will isolate in the White House has been in contact with members of staff and will participate in planned meetings.

The White House says it will provide a daily update on Biden’s status, and will inform anyone who has been in close contact with the president.

First Lady Jill Biden, who is in Michigan tested negative on Thursday, and said she would continue her duties.

Biden had been scheduled to travel to Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania to speak about efforts to reduce gun violence and attend a fundraiser in Philadelphia.

He was then expected to travel to Wilmington, Delaware for the weekend.

The trips and all travel for the next five days has been cancelled in the wake of the president’s COVID diagnosis.
