#JusticeForJibril: Gov. Bagudu Speaks On Boy Chained To Anim

Kebbi State Government led by Governor Atiku Bagudu has taken the responsibility to totally treat and rehabilitate the teenage boy, Jibril Aliyu chained for two years by his foster mothers and father, in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi.

AllNews reports that 10-year-old Jamilu Aliyu was an abandoned child who was rescued by a human rights group after been chained for two years with goats.

According to reports gathered, the boy’s ordeal started after he lost his biological mother two years ago.

Aliyu was reportedly maltreated by his foster parents like an animal to the extent that he was feeding on the remnant food of the animals he was tied with and even ate his faeces until he was rescued by some Human Right Activist.

However, Aliyu is currently at Yahaya Specialist Hospital Birnin Kebbi and responding to treatment while his father, Aliyu Badariya, and stepmothers are in police custody.

The government vowed that they will face the full wrath of the law.

AllNews recalls that the Kebbi State Government had on June 22, 2020, submitted the Gender-Based Violence and Child Molestation Act to the State Legislature for passage into law for the protection of victims and penalties for such offences.
