Daddy Showkey has joined the list of celebrities who have called for justice for Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, Lekki whose unfortunate demise has sparked outrage.
Oromoni was reportedly beaten to death by fellow students for refusing to join a cult group in Dowen College, Lekki Phase One, Lagos.
It was alleged that some of the boys suspected of his abuse are on the run, with one reportedly flown out of the country.
Reacting to the news, Daddy Showkey stated that any parent who covers the wrongdoing of their child will end up being killed by that child.
In a video on his Instagram handle, the 51-year-old 'galala' singer stated that as long as parents do not take their time to correct their children when they do something wrong, those children will come back to kill them.
"Your pikin do something, you carry am run. That pikin wey you think say you dey defend from wetin e do wey wrong na him go come back come kill you becauseyou no take time to correct that pikin or make sure say that pikin get correction from wetin he do wey wrong," he said in pidgin.
"You think say nah the best thing to do? Nah that pikin go come back come kill you."
(Your child did something, you helped him abscond. Is that same child that you think you defended from his wrong actions that will come back to kill you. Because you did not take time to correct that child or make sure he gets correction for his wrong actions. You think that is the best thing to do?)
