The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has reacted to the rape and murder of a 100 level student of Microbiology Department, Uwaila Omozuwa.
Speaking on the unfortunate incident, the management, in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution, Benedicta Ehanire, said the actions are "condemnable and should not be condoned by any society".
The Vice-Chancellor called on students pf the institution and indeed all young people to be wary of the company they keep and places they visit.
The management also disclosed that it had sent a delegation to commiserate with the bereaved family.
