Following the terrorist attack on a busy train between Nigeria's capital, Abuja, and Kaduna city, which saw the death of about seven people, singer Mayorkun has said that it's time the Nigerian citizens held the government responsible for their lives and properties.
In an Instagram story post, the singer lamented the horrible state of the economy that has had citizens struggling to survive.
He said that the attack on the Kaduna train was 'very unreasonable and undeserving to say the least', adding that the people affected and the death of Chinelo, the lady who had tweeted earlier that she was shot, didn't deserve what happened to them.
“My heart goes out to everyone affected by the Kaduna train attack!
"It's very unreasonable and undeserving, to say the least,” Mayorkun wrote.
“Reading the sad story about Chinelo and that even makes me feel worse, she and everyone on that train didn't deserve this.
“People are really struggling to survive in a horrible economy that doesn't favour the average Nigerian at all, and we are still being killed in the midst of everything.
“It's high time we held our leaders accountable for our lives and properties.
"It's what they promised us and it's what we voted them to do.
"Today it's Kaduna and if nothing continues to be done, tomorrow it could be anywhere else.”
