Kaduna: Balarabe launches girls' science school in Pambeguwa

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe has inaugurated the new Girls Science Secondary School in Pambeguwa, Kubau Local Government Area of the state.

The deputy governor said the inauguration of the school was part of the activities to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Governor Uba Sani-led administration.

She said the school was one of the six new science schools constructed to advance science education in the state.

She also revealed that the State Government in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank spent over N6 billion for the schools' construction and over N2 billion for equipment.

She said: "The school inaugurated is one of the six new science schools constructed accross the state and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities with the aim of advancing science education in the state.

"The total cost for the construction of the schools is N6,834,564,828.52, with equipment worth N2,536,598,623.89.The project was made possible through the financial support of the Islamic Development Bank, IsDB."

Balarabe further disclosed that the Governor Sani-led administration has also undertaken efforts to improve primary education, renovating schools and constructing new classrooms for 93,040 pupils. 

She added: "Governor Uba Sani is firmly committed to ensuring quality education for every student in Kaduna State."
