An Abuja-bound train departing Kaduna was allegedly attacked by gunmen, although, reports had stated that villagers hurled stones at the train.
Granting that, reports on the attack are still sketchy, as at the time of publishing this report.
Efforts to reach out to officials of the train service proved abortive.
This is not the first time bandits would attack passengers as they traveled along the Kaduna-Abuja highway, despite the efforts of both the state and Federal governments to curb their activities.

Trips on the trains have become horrific, as passengers experience these sorts of attacks periodically.
In January, gunmen had attacked vehicles that transported travellers from the Kaduna train station at Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area.
Days following the attack, bandits kidnapped a few people at the same train station in Rigasa.
