Kane Drops Transfer Hint In Wishes To Pochettino L Chelsea

Harry Kane and Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur's captain, Harry Kane, extended his good wishes to his former coach, Mauricio Pochettino, upon the Argentine's appointment as the manager of London rivals Chelsea.

Pochettino had previously led Tottenham to the 2019 Champions League final and established them as Premier League contenders during his tenure.

Speaking to Reuters, Kane expressed his admiration for Pochettino, highlighting his impact on his career. "Mauricio was an amazing manager for me. Great person, and a great coach. He helped me a lot to get to where I am now. So I'm really appreciative of him," Kane stated.

During his visit to New York, Kane also announced his investment in OxeFit, an AI-driven fitness-tech startup, further expanding his off-pitch endeavours. He joins ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky as a new partner with the company, showcasing his commitment to innovation and investing in cutting-edge technologies.

As for Pochettino, his new challenge lies at Chelsea, where he has signed a two-year deal with the option of an additional year. Taking charge after a disappointing season for the club, which saw them finish 12th in the Premier League, Pochettino aims to revitalize Chelsea's performance and restore them to their former glory.

While Kane wished his former coach luck, he emphasized his desire for a healthy rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea. "Everyone has their career, everyone has their future. So all I can say is I wish him all the best," Kane remarked, displaying sportsmanship. However, he added with a competitive smile, "I hope he does well - just obviously not as well as us."
