Kane Scores Hat-Trick In Bayern's Rout Of Bochum

England captain Harry Kane scored a hat-trick in Bayern Munich’s 7-0 demolition of VfL Bochum on Saturday.

It takes his league goal tally to seven and makes him the club record holder for most goals by a player in his first five Bundesliga matches.

Kane struck his first goal after benefiting from a loose ball in the 13th minute before converting a penalty after the break.

His third came in the 88th minute when he turned home a pass from Noussair Mazraoui for his first domestic league hat-trick since December 2017, when he scored consecutive trebles for Tottenham against Burnley and Southampton.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Matthijs de Ligt, Leroy Sané and substitute Mathys Tel were the other goalscorers as Bayern built on their 4-3 Champions League victory over Manchester United in midweek.

The result sees Bayern move up to 13 points in top spot from the opening five Bundesliga games, three points clear of Bayer Leverkusen, who could join them if they beat Heidenheim on Sunday.
