Kano APC Accuses State Government Of Unnecessary Demolition

The APC voiced it's position on Tuesday in Kano

The opposition All Progressives Congress in Kano has accused the NNPP-led administration of turning youths into looters by wrongfully demolishing structures in the state.

The APC on Tuesday said also condemned what it termed as the demolition of high economic interest in the state.

The APC voiced its anger through the Deputy Chairman of the party in Kano,  Shehu Maigari at a press briefing

He said the government's actions have brought unnecessary chaos, rampant vandalism, daylight stealing and grabbing of innocent people’s property by the youths.

“We, therefore, called on all those affected to exercise patience, maintain calmness and explore all legal means to protect their properties and seek legal redress for the damages done and loses incurred,”

Maigari called on parents and guardians to caution their children on the danger and implications and desist from being used as agents by the NNPP-led administration.

He similarly called on security agencies in the state to step up actions that will restore the people’s confidence in the light of the shock and calamity that befell the state.

“It is with a deep sense of regret, I’m addressing you here today on the current happenings in our dear state. Kano being a mega city and a commercial nerve centre of the Northern region and other West African countries is now facing a serious calamity from the NNPP-led administration.”

“Finally, we assured the good people of Kano state our support and concern in this trying period.

“We also implore all those affected directly or indirectly in addition to seeking redress from the court of law.”
