Alhaji Aliko Dangote
The Kano State House of Assembly has passed the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre Bill 2022 after scaling through the third reading.
The House, presided over by the Speaker, Hamisu Chidari unanimously gave consent to the passage on Tuesday.
Speaking shortly after the plenary session, Majority Leader, Labaran Madari (APC-Warawa) said that the centre would address the problem of unemployment among women and youths in the state.
“Providing the law will also give room for vocational skills acquisition to be autonomous and reduce unemployment rate in the society.
“This is one of the programmes through which government intends to create jobs,’’ he explained.
Madari said the centre would be headed by a council and a principal with tenures of four years each.
