The new Commissioner for Education in Kano State, Alhaji Ya’u Yanshana has advised teachers and school administrators to see their jobs as a result of the trust of the public.
Yanshana said this while speaking to heads of boards, agencies parastatals and staff of the ministry on Friday in Kano.
He promised to ensure the vision and mission of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in the development of the education sector of the state.
According to the commissioner, the sector is expected to impart knowledge and good upbringing to pupils in the early and adolescent ages.
“Teachers and staff of the ministry should consider their service as a trust.
“Ministry of education is one the largest ministries that has vital responsibilities, therefore, all hands must be on deck to ensure effective performance in the discharge of such responsibilities,” he said.
Yanshana expressed his commitment to serve to the best of his ability during his time of service as a Commissioner.
He further pledged to operate an open-door policy and encourage his subordinates to take responsibility as expected.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hajiya Lauratu Ado-Diso, assured the Commissioner of the unwavering support and cooperation of the staff of the ministry and its parastatals in the success of his mission.
