Kano Court Finds Three Hotels, Pension Firm Guilty Of Trade

A court in Kano on Wednesday found three hotels; Bristol palace, Chila luxury suits and Prince Hotel and a pension firm, Leadway pension of failing to pay Kano state government trade registration fees.

The mobile court presided over by senior magistrate Ibrahim Gwadabe said the offence contravenes section 8,9 and punishable under section 14 of Kano state Trade registration law 2014.

This is contained in statement by the state Ministry of Commerce and signed by it's Public Relations Officer, Sa'adatu Sulaiman.

The statement added that the court  ordered the Hotels and the pension company to pay Kano government all outstanding fees through ministry of commerce, industries, cooperative and solid minerals within two weeks from the judgement.

It added that failure to comply with the directive will result in closure of the Hotels and the pension company.
