Kano CP Urges Officers To Be Steadfast In Fighting Crime

The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, Sama’ila Shua’ibu-Dikko, has urged officers and men in the command to remain steadfast in fighting crime to secure residents’ lives and property.

He made the call on Friday while addressing Area Commanders, Squadron Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Heads of Departments (HODs) and other Senior Police officers at the command’s headquarters, Bampai, Kano.

He appreciated the efforts of the personnel in safeguarding the lives and property of the residents.

The police commissioner noted that the command had been recording tremendous successes in the fight against crimes and urged them not to relent in their efforts in that direction.

Shu’aibu-Dikko directed the officers to continue with robust community policing engagements, constant raids of criminal hideouts and black spots.

He further urged them to sustain `Operation Puff Adder’, which was based on rapid response to distress calls, intelligence-led, and visibility policing

He urged the police to continue to adhere to the ethics of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and synergy with sister security agencies and other stakeholders.

Shu’aibu-Dikko assured the police of the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba, to improving the personnel’s welfare and boosting their morale for effective service delivery.

In a related development, Shu’aibu-Dikko inaugurated Kore Divisional Police Headquarters which was built and furnished by Kano State Government.

The police commissioner thanked Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje for the efforts and for other support that the administration had been giving to the police, which assisted in championing community policing in the state.
