Kano Fire Service Rescues Victims Of Boat Mishap

Kano State Fire Service on Monday rescued four men involved in a boat mishap at Zangon Dungu Village of Rimin Gado Local Government in Kano.

A statement made available to Newsmen on Monday evening in Kano, and signed by the spokesperson of the service, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, firefighter arrived the scene at about 12:30 pm and discovered that a canoe has capsized and immersing into the waters.

The statement added that four persons were rescued alive, however, two of them were unconcious.

"Four people involved two where successfully rescued alive by name Sani Shitu of about 25 years old and Jabir Sani of about 30 years old," said the statement.

"While the other victims where rescued  unconscious by name Sha'aban Bala of about 35 years old and Rabi'u Bashari of about 30 years old," it added.

He said the uncouncious victims were later confirmed the dead, adding that they all have since been handed over to the Vice Chairman of Rimin Gado local government, Shafi'u Abdullahi Gulu.
