Kano Fire Service Saves 64 Lives In April — Spokesman

Kano Fire Service says its officers saved 64 people from death in different fire incidences in April.

23 others died from the fire outbreaks in the same month.

A statement by the agency's spokesman, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi on Tuesday said its men saved 73,195,000 worth of properties, while others worth about 29,090,000 were completely destroyed.

"In the Month of April 2023, the state fire service received an emergency call from our 27 fire stations across the State in the month under review we received fire calls, rescue calls and false alarms, the number of calls is as follow: 83 fire calls. 2. 45 rescue calls. 3. 9 false alarms."

The statement called on residents to be extra vigilant and save themselves from avoidable fire incidences.
