Kano: Agency Frowns At Street Light Poles Vandalism

The Director General Kano state Metropolitan Agency(KASMA), Engineer Hadiza Ahmad Tukur has expressed worry over incessant destruction of street light poles and cables by some residents and motorists in the state.

The DG made this known while responding to reported cases of vandalism at Kwanar Dala and Gwarzo Road in Kano Metropolitan, involving one Haruna Saleh Shuaibu and Alkasim Umar residents of Rimin Gata.

In a statement signed by the agency's Public Relations Officer, Usman Datti Abdullahi on Sunday, Engineer Hadiza Ahmad revealed that the suspects have been handed over to Criminal Investigation Department of the police command for investigation, adding that the state government has zero tolerance for vandalism.

She warned against acts of vandalism as government is poised to prosecute any one found vandalising public facilities.

The DG further, assured the state government commitment to procure more infrastructures aimed at improving security and socio economic development in the state.
