Kano Government Appeals To Oil Marketers To Sell Petrol At O

Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf has appealed to petroleum marketers to revise the current N560 naira fuel price per liter to its original price.

In a statement by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Thursday,  he said the price reversal would help to lessen the current hardship experienced by the general public.

The governor added that he is aware that the marketers still have old products in stock that were supposed to be sold at the previous pricing.

"As a concerned Governor, I am disheartened to see our dear People of Kano suffering as a result of an unjustified fuel hike, and the situation must be stopped right away," the governor said.

He affirmed that Kano is the commercial hub for the country's northern region as well as certain countries in West Africa, and its bustling populace continues to enjoy favorable business conditions.

He said this the need to return to the old price to ease affairs in the state.

Engineer Yusuf who described the current hardship as needless called on the marketers should exercise some restraint and quickly reopen all filling stations with available products in stock to sell at the former price.

He urged residents in the to maintain their composure and uphold the law because the government is always prepared to make sure that people are doing their affairs conveniently.
