Kano Governor Rejects KAROTA MD's Resignation

Kano State Acting Governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, has rejected the resignation of the Managing Director of Kano Roads Traffic Agency, KAROTA, Baffa Babba Dan-agundi.

Reports on Sunday speculated that Dan Agundi planned to tender his resignation letter to the governor on Monday to pursue his political ambitions.

After writing the letter, it was gathered that Governor Ganduje who is currently attending a summit the in United Arab Emirates ordered the acting governor to reject it.

Speaking on the matter, the Managing Director, Baffa Babba Dan Agundi confirmed that he wrote the letter and that it was rejected.

“Out of loyalty to the governor, whom I have immense respect for and i regard as a father, I will not be taking any move other than the decision of His Excellency”, he said.

On whether he will be contesting in 2023 election, he reiterated to that his next line of action will be based on what the governor will say.

“My relationship with the governor is not that of a boss alone but that of a father and son”.

The Managing Director of the agency is one of the closest allies of the governor.

He was with the governor in United Arab Emirates before coming back to the country on Sunday.
