The Kano State Commissioner of the Ministry, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, says the punctuality of staff of the ministry has really helped in easing activities.
The commissioner made the remark on Thursday while bidding farewell to the staffs as his tenure has come to an end.
Tsanyawa bowing out of office comes after instructions by the incumbent Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for all political appointees to vacate office ahead of the May 29 handover.
Dr Tsanyawa stated that he has met the staffs of the ministry very energetic and passionate to duty, maintaining that it is what aided him to discharge his responsibilities successfully.
A statement by the ministry's information officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi quoted Dr. Tsanyawa as saying: "Sincerely speaking, staffs of the ministry of health supersede their counterparts in other ministries, departments and agencies in terms of dedication to duty.
"It is a delight to us to come to the ministry at 8 in the morning and get the staffs have already reported to work, and they don't go anywhere until the official time is off.
"This is surely very commendable."
He further stated that all the successes and commendations garnered during his stewardship were as a result of the maximum cooperation accorded to him by the staff of the ministry.
"Without you these accomplishments wouldn't have been achieved."
"I sincerely commend you from the bottom of my heart.
"I urge you to redouble effort because the ministry of health is not like other ministries.
"It is the ministry that oversees health of the people. It is the ministry where slightest negligence will lead to the enormous problems and negative repercussions in the society.
"This ministry is a hub of healthcare system of the state. If we didn't do what is expected on us, we couldn't have called other staffs at the hospitals to order if they didn't render services they are required to provide to the patients", Dr Tsanyawa warned.
The commissioner then enjoined them to extend similar cooperation to the next commissioner, urging them to give him all the needed support for the system to further flourish in order to meet up the yearnings of the people of the state and solicited forgiveness from any staff he wronged knowingly or unknowingly.
Tsanyawa then commended Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the opportunity to serve the state at both the Hospitals Management Board and the Ministry of Health respectively.
"This is an indication of true love and respect I enjoy from His Excellency.
"May Allah reward you and be your guide throughout your life."
Staffs who spoke during the event described Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa as humble, generous, simple and hardworking commissioner who they enjoyed working with.
