Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command says it is disappointed with the unpatriotic attitude of some proprietors of filling stations in the state.
In a statement by the Spokesman of the command, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi on Wednesday, it has understood that the filling stations are now diverting, hoarding and selling/dispensing Premium motor spirit (PMS) to black marketers in jerry cans, drums and in locally constructed motor tanks.
The statement added that the actions have created unnecessary fuel scarcity and queues at some filling stations.
"The Corps considers this behaviour unacceptable and it must be stopped."
"Consequent upon this, the state Commandant has instructed a 24/7 surveillance by officers and men of Anti Vandalism Unit across the State with a view to checkmate this unwholesome development, and if anybody is caught in the act of diversion, hoarding or dispensing PMS to the black marketers will be arrested and instantly brought to justice."
The statement then warned stakeholders to desist from hoarding the product.
