The 106 youths were arrested for trespassing, theft and other offences bothering looting of properties of demolished buildings in Kano.
The Kano Command of the Nigerian Police says it has charged 106 youths arrested for looting some of the shops in buildings destroyed by Kano Government to court.
The suspects were arraigned and charged with offences ranging from criminal trespass, shop breaking, mischief and theft.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Haruna Kiyawa, said the suspects were arrested at various locations in Kano metropolis.
He emphasized that the command will not fold its arms and watch the perpetration of criminal activities.
Looting spree is on the rise amongst youths already suspected of phone snatching that has led to loss of lives in the state.
