The Management of the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools' Board (KSSSMB) has voiced its concern over recent security challenges faced in some some strategic locations in the state, which pose security threats to peace and order.
In a circular e-signed by the Director Senior Secondary Schools, Ahmed Tijjani Idris and addressed to zonal and principal directors in the state on Tuesday evening, the board directed that water-tight security measures be put around schools.
"...Visitors and and all movement of persons and vehicles are monitored closely and report any suspicious movements immediately', the circular reads.
It slso directed that all entries into any school premises should be restricted and visitors properly identified and checked before entrance.
These directives may not be unconnected with the recent Sabon Gari explosion, and subsequent arrest of a vehicle laden with bomb making materials.
Since then, people have been wary, more prayerful and cautious as they subtly look out for their safety.
